Score 93/100 · James Suckling, Jun 2023
Very primary with hibiscus, orange peel, and sliced strawberry aromas that follow through to a medium body, with fine tannins and a firm finish. A little in reserve now. From organically grown grapes. Try after 2027.

About the producer

Giacomo Borgogno & Figli
One of Piedmont’s oldest estates, Giacomo Borgogno & Figli, often known as just “Borgogno”, is archly traditional. Favouring long macerations and extended ageing in Slavonian cask, it is best known for its impressive Barolos, especially the prized late releases from its extensive library stock.
