Score 87/100 · Drink 2018-2022, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2017
Moderately saturated medium red with a palish rim. Musky cherry and strawberry aromas show herbal and meaty nuances. Supple, easygoing wine with decent texture but modest definition and sweetness. Red berry, herb and pepper flavors lead to a lightly tannic finish that's slightly dry but not short. But lacks the intensity and grip, not to mention the complexity, for a higher score.
