2019 Chablis Valmur

The 2019 Chablis Valmur Grand Cru is very backward on the nose and offers enticing scents of green apple, blood orange, shucked oysters and then white flower scents that blossom after five minutes. The palate is very focused, with impressive body considering the relatively young vines. There’s wonderful spiciness toward the finish, which has a slightly waxy texture. Superb.

The 2019 Chablis Grand Cru Valmur unwinds in the glass with scents of crisp green orchard fruit, fresh bread, iodine and dried white flowers. Full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's deep and concentrated, with racy acids, chalky structuring dry extract and a long, saline finish. This is another serious, built-to-age bottling from Droin.
