Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 D'Arsac offers pretty notions of kirsch, rosehip tea, black raspberries and redcurrant jelly with a waft of dusty soil. Medium-bodied, the palate has impressive energy with loads of red berry flavors and a slight chew to the texture, finishing with plenty of zip.

The 2017 d’Arsac is very closed on the nose despite aeration: tertiary, pencil box aromas reluctantly emerging from the glass. The palate is sappy on the entry with slightly angular tannins, with sour cherry and strawberry appearing on the attenuated finish. I have encountered better from this estate in the past.
The 2017 d’Arsac has a pretty bouquet with blackberry, cassis and light pressed flower aromas that are refined if not the most powerful you will find in the appellation. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp acidity, well balanced with fresh, pencil-lead infused black fruit. There already is an essence of drinkability about this Margaux and it should drink well for several years.
The ruby/purple-tinged 2017 Château d'Arsac offers medium-bodied, charming notes of sweet red fruits and underbrush. It’s a well-made, straight, focused 2017 that shows the more mid-weight, yet balanced style of the vintage.
