100% Palomino Fino. San Cayetano is a parcel of old vines planted in Cerro del Obispo (an area within Pago de Macharnudo) on the tosca de Barajuelas albariza soil and with a southern aspect. Two harvests in the same plot to blend them later to balance the wine. Alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats, then biological ageing in Fino casks for 18 months. Due to be released spring 2024. Tangy and refreshing. Really vital and exciting with amazing intensity and potential. (JR)

An exciting table wine from the region of Sherry with crunchy fruit and fine phenolics, honeysuckle, crushed stone, and flowers. Medium body. A chalky and salty undercurrent throughout. Highlights some of the exciting new things in Spain. Made from the palomino grape from a single parcel in the vineyard of Macharnudo in the white soils of the region. Drink or hold.
About the producer
In 1994, Telmo Rodríguez and Pablo Eguzkiza made their first wine together. This was the beginning of Compañía de Vinos Telmo Rodríguez, their joint project that looks to uncover the “real” Spain, working with old vineyards and indigenous varieties to recover the nation’s vinous heritage.
