Vinfolio, Oct 2024

Lush and rich, the concentration of this wine is instantly striking. It’s amazingly open and approachable with supple tannins, although the nose isn’t revealing its complexity at this stage. Blueberry and raspberry fruit mingle with florals, while there’s a lush, chalky texture. Vibrant and impressive.

The 2023 Echézeaux Grand Cru (Domaine Louis Jadot) is a strong performer this year and, along with the Chapelle-Chambertin, one of the obvious sleepers in the range. Offering up aromas of plums and berries mingled with orange zest, spices and potpourri, it's medium to full-bodied, suave and supple, with ripe tannins, a sweet core of fruit and a long finish.
