Cask sample. Much more interest than the Chassagne rouge. Intriguing nose with a touch of spice, black fruit, hint of earthiness. Not the deepest in colour but plenty of ripe dark cherry with sweetness to balance the acidity. Fairly priced (judging by the trade price) for lieu-dit Pommard. Could be GV .

Unfurling in the glass with aromas of sweet red berries, rose petals and orange zest, the 2021 Pommard Tavannes is medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with powdery tannins and good mid-palate amplitude.
