Tasting notes
Aged 12 months in oak (10% new). More saline and precise than their Fort-Ross Seaview from the same vintage; this is a little more austere and tart. There's an almost marine quality to the palate, and not much of the buttery richness of traditional California – although there is plenty of core fruit power, too. (RH)

The 2022 Chardonnay Russian River Valley is also a bright silver straw color and has a slightly deeper tone. Revealing notes of smoky wet stones, lemon balm, green apples, and fresh flowers, it has a bit more medium-bodied richness. with a lovely. light-on-its-feet feel in this vintage. It’s just a joy to drink now or over the next 10-12 years.
Full bottle 1,355 g. Medium lemon in colour. Quiet with a bit of popcorn and ripe apple initially and then more floral notes, spice and yoghurt as it opens. Rich but savoury fruit on the palate – salted caramel apple – with mouth-watering tangy acidity and a leesy weight. (SCJ)
The 2022 Chardonnay Russian River Valley has inviting scents of yellow apples, allspice, toast and flint. The light-bodied palate strikes a balance of ripe fruit and spicy oak. Its satiny texture is tempered by lively acidity, and it has a long, flavorful finish. This is dangerously easy to drink! 7,442 cases produced.
