Tasting notes
The 2014 Clarisse is plump, juicy and very nicely balanced. Succulent red cherry, plum, spice, licorice and tobacco all meld together nicely in this forward, open-knit wine. The blend is 80 % Merlot and 20 % Cabernet Franc.

The 2014 Clarisse is supple, textured and nicely layered. Sweet red cherry, plum and smoke open up in a racy, perfumed wine with lovely delineation. Expressive floral and spice notes add further nuance on the close. Vinification in cement and aging in mostly neutral oak really allows the fruit to come through. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc.
The Château Clarisse Vieilles Vignes 2014 is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc raised in 50% new oak. The nose is intense with mulberry and dark plum mixed with incense aromas that expand in the glass. The palate is medium to full-bodied with fine tannin, good acidity, lightly spiced with a persistent finish. This is a fine Puisseguin-Saint Emilion.
