2021 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Oakville Ranch, an elevated site that lies between Dalla Valle and Ovid. It's a complex whirl on the nose, easily mixing cedary, cinnamon, cassis and dusty earth notes, while the medium to full-bodied palate is packed and intense but also complex and savory, with a fine dusting of ripe tannins.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville comes barreling out with bold notions of crushed blackcurrants, fresh blackberries, and black raspberries leading to hints of sassafras, spearmint, and underbrush plus a hint of pencil lead. The full-bodied palate vibrates with intense, energetic black fruits, supported by firm, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and minerally.

Rich depths of flavour are seamed here, laced through with dark chocolate and cocoa bean, olive pit and creamy black cherry and damson fruits, muscular tannins that keep things rooted through the mid palate, great expansion and lift on the finish. 50% new oak, unfiltered, unfined.
