Score 87/100 · Drink 2010, Robert Parker, Apr 1999
One of the finest Lalande de Pomerols, this wine is well worth seeking out. The excellent 1996 exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, and sweet, blackberry and jammy cherry aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, with impressive glycerin, sweet tannin, and a long, lush, concentrated finish, it may be the finest Lalande de Pomerol from this vintage. Anticipated maturity: now-2010.
