Score 92/100 · Drink 2020-2038, Neal Martin, May 2019
The 2011 Echézeaux Grand Cru has a slightly leafy, but well defined and fresh bouquet with scents of briary, black tea and bay leaf emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip in the mouth, darker fruit than the Lamarche’s own 2011 Echézeaux with slightly more structure and sapidity on the finish. This is well worth seeking out. Tasted at Flint Wines Burgundy 2011 tasting.
