Score 89/100 · Drink 2019-2033, Neal Martin, May 2019
The 2011 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru feels a little smudged on the nose with rounded red berry fruit, sage and a touch of leather. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly rustic tannin, a fine bead of acidity and a little gaminess like the Lamarche. It warms up to the spicy, white pepper tinged finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. Fine. Tasted at Flint Wines Burgundy 2011 tasting.
