Score 92-94/100 · Drink 2024-2038, Neal Martin, Jan 2023
The 2021 Chambertin Grand Cru has a complex bouquet with dark berry fruit and sous-bois . The whole bunches element imparts a tangible stemmy quality that is more pronounced than the Griotte, which suffered less frost damage in 2021. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and almost pixelated, dark berry fruits laced with tobacco and a hint of bell pepper. It may lack some persistence, but it should age well in bottle.
