Tasting notes
The medium garnet colored 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Precious gives up wonderful licorice, tea and tapenade scents with nuances of cigars and earth. The full-bodied palate is rich, savory, firm and seductive, finishing long.

The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Precious is rich, textured and quite pretty. Dark plums, cherries, menthol and spices are layered into this attractive medium-bodied wine. Firm tannins support a textured, inviting finish laced with tar, smoke and licorice. Deceptively medium in body, the 2009 fleshes out beautifully with time in the glass, turning quite powerful and intense. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024.
Good full, deep red. Elegant, floral aromas of raspberry, loam and cola. Then surprisingly tight on the palate, with ripe acids framing and energizing the reticent raspberry, floral and mineral flavors. Youthfully penetrating cabernet, finishing with terrific red berry intensity and firm but harmonious tannins.
The 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon Precious is one of the most powerful wines I tasted with Jayson Woodbridge. Today it is impossibly young, yet all of the necessary qualities are there for this to be a fabulous wine once it is bottled. Waves of dark cherries, plums, flowers and tobacco mark the deep, multidimensional finish. This is a fabulous showing.
