The 2015 Lynsolence is a bit better from bottle than it was from barrel. There is good depth and concentration, but not much in the way of complexity or nuance. The hard edges that were present en primeur have softened, but this remains a straightforward offering.

The medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Lynsolence has cedar and mocha on the nose over a core of baked blackberries and fruitcake plus a waft of herbs. The medium to full-bodied palate is generously fruited, very firm and chewy with racy acid and some woodiness on the finish. Give it 3-5 years for the oak to marry and drink it over the next 10-15+.

Very round and mellow. No rough edges and a good balance of ripe fruit and freshness. Some drying tannins on the end. Very opulent and seductive. Purple fruit flavours. (JR)
