Tasting notes
The 2015 Haiku is a blend of 50% Sangiovese, 25% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. Racy and voluptuous, this wine is laced with the essence of dark plum, blueberry jam, spice, new leather and menthol. In this vintage in particular, Haiku is a wine of Ama more than anything else. Soft curves add to the wine's alluring personality.

The 2015 Haiku is 50% Sangiovese blended with Cabernet Franc and Merlot. You taste the tangy spice and intensity of the Cabernet Franc as well as the smooth softness of the extra ripe Merlot. Sangiovese is the glue, imparting structure and freshness. I must say this is definitely the best vintage of Haiku I have tasted thus far. This is an expansive and far-reaching red wine that spreads wide and clear over the palate. The various characteristics of those grapes come together with impeccable unity.
