Tasting notes
The 2021 Saint Joseph reveals a deeper purple hue to go with absolutely classic Northern Rhône notes of black and blue fruits, freshly cracked pepper, violets, iron, and a hints of bouquet garni. It's medium-bodied, has a supple, elegant texture, ultra-fine tannins, and beautiful overall length. It's up with the crème de la crème of the appellation and is one heck of an impressive 2021.

The light- to medium-bodied 2021 Saint-Joseph was made with 5% whole-clusters. Sour cherry, red plum and raspberry emerge from the glass, complemented by leafy nuances as well as licorice. Smooth tannins caress the palate. Refreshing and balanced, this delicate Saint-Joseph finishes with moderate length on the bright finish.
Aged 14 months in barrel. Cask sample. Tasted blind. Attractive nose with some violet, clove, smoke and blackberry yogurt. A ripe palate packed with smoke, white pepper, fine tannins and a salty mineral note throughout. Elegant and appealing with a smoked-meat note on the long finish. (AC)
