Tasting notes
Bright, moderately saturated red. Aromas of redcurrant, raspberry and herbs are complicated by oak spices. A step up in sweetness and texture from the village Volnay, showing good inner-mouth energy to its redcurrant and cherry fruit flavors. There's an element of salty mineral grip here that reminded me of a white Burgundy and it nicely buffers the wine's sweet tannins and carries the finish of this rather sappy wine.

Moderately saturated medium red. A bit fresher on the nose than the previous samples, offering scents of raspberry liqueur and menthol. Juicier and livelier in the mouth as well, showing better definition to the flavors of cherry, raspberry and spices. Still on the light side and firmly tannic but this wine has more structure for aging. Finishes with notes of black cherry and minerals.
