Tasting notes
Revealing aromas of rich, creamy berry fruit and a medium to full-bodied, broad and fleshy palate, the 2019 Les Angelots de Gracia is derived from a 1.38-hectare parcel near Angélus. Rich and somewhat extracted in style, it's rather more giving and immediate than its stablemate, Gracia.

The 2019 Angelots de Gracia races across the palate with copious blackberry jam, bittersweet chocolate, sweet spice, menthol, French oak and licorice. Angelots is one of the more pushed, ripe Saint-Émilions readers will find in 2019. All the elements come together effortlessly.
The 2019 Les Angelots de Gracia has a potent nose although I felt that there is a touch f sur-maturité, an otiose prune-like tincture that just mars the overall effect. The palate is sweet and candied on the entry with fleshy red fruit laced with white pepper and sage. The finish just lacks a little complexity and class.
