Tasting notes
So much white-peach, pear and some floral notes, complemented by just a hint of oak. At once generous, but rather sleek, this is very polished for this appellation, with a mineral finish thatâs very refreshing. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Guettes Blanc (Domaine Gagey) mingles notes of pear and peach with hints of white flowers and almond paste in an inviting bouquet. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy, it's round and enveloping, with a generous, charming profile this year.
The 2019 Savigny-lès-Beaune Clos des Guettes Blanc 1er Cru has a more delineated and mineral-driven bouquet compared with the Haut Jarrons this year. The palate is very well balanced with a peachy opening, a fine bead of acidity and a touch of lemongrass spicing things up toward the finish. Enjoy this over the next decade.
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
