Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2025-2045, Neal Martin, Dec 2021
The 2020 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, from vines planted in 2011, has a very ripe, luxuriant, creamy bouquet with touches of peppermint percolating through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grip on the entry, piquant dark cherry fruit laced with orange sorbet, slightly chalky in texture on its penetrating finish.

About the producer

Henri Rebourseau
Based in Gevrey-Chambertin, this domaine has a long history and impressive vineyards (with over five hectares of Grand Cru), but has long been considered an under-performer. Today, however, the Bouygues brothers (of Montrose and Clos Rougeard) have taken ownership and change is afoot.
