The 2021 Château Brown has a straightforward but clean bouquet of blackberry, raspberry and black tea mixed with cedar. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and well-judged acidity—taut and fresh. Pretty and quite elegant on the finish, this is actually better than expected and is worth seeking out.

Medium intensity gold, with clear weight through the palate. Has an attractive white peach, apricot and citrus character, grilled oak notes, supple through the palate. Impactful, riper than many in the vintage, with a delicious saline kick on the finish. 50% new oak.
Elegant cassis and blackberry fruits, this has cedar oak toasting, skilfully made, an impressive performance from Brown in the vintage. 40% new oak for ageing, 36hl/h yield.
The 2021 Brown offers good depth and textural intensity. The aromatics in this barrel sample aren't perfect, but there is plenty of fruit and structure to make me think the 2021 will turn out well.
