Score 94-96/100 · Drink 2018-2039, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017
A barrel sample composed of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc, 10% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec, the 2016 Proprietary Red has a very deep garnet-purple color and delivers notions of wild blueberries, warm blackberries and red currants with touches of spice box, violets, cigar boxes and lavender. Medium-bodied, refreshing and elegantly played in the mouth, it has a satiny texture and a very long, earthy finish.
