Lastly, the 2018 Pinot Noir The Coast saw the standard complete destemming and spent 10 months in 50% new French oak. It shows a killer bouquet of sweet black raspberry fruits as well as baking spices, forest floor, licorice, darker, earthy notes. With full-bodied richness, nicely integrated acidity, and a great finish, it's a step up over the 2017 (and the 2016) and is going to impress for a solid 10-12 years. These rich, powerhouse wines are made by Thomas Rivers Brown. They don’t come cheap, but they’re brilliant wines across the board.
