The 2022 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru has some reduction on the nose, but there is decent fruit underneath, and it just needs time. I appreciate the delineation. The palate is fresh on the entry with exotic fruit: peach, guava and a touch of nectarine, lightly spiced with a cohesive and "correct" finish. It doesn't captivate the imagination, but it will drink well for a decade. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.

Cask sample. Big, intense wine with some oak still in evidence? A big contrast with the precision of the Preuses. Sort of a cross between Chablis and Côte d’Or? For those who seek mass. (JR)
