2020 Bandol

Love Bandol wines, and this is a wonderful example from the generous 2020 vintage. Juicy redcurrant and red cherry fruits, clear cherry pit and bitter fennel giving balance and focus. Waves of freshly cut herbs add layers, like you can feel the knife slicing through them, releasing their fragrance, giving a lingering finish. Manages to be both welcoming and unfussy without sacricing tension and grip. Great vintage for this wine. Winemaker Daniel Abrial, owner Reynald Delille and Jean d'Arthys. No need to wait, but it will age, as there are tannins here. Aged in 60hl oak casks.
