Tasting notes
The 2023 Petit Bocq has quite an intense bouquet with blackberry and bilberry aromas with crushed violet scents, tightly wound but opening nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded tannins, a fine line of acidity, a little more austere on the finish than expected. Overall, a decent Saint-Estèphe that should give up to 20 years of drinking pleasure.

Medium-bodied, fresh, and fruity, with a core of ripe, red, with black currants, tobacco, and herbs. The wine is fresh, spicy, and tinted with cedar, and savory herbs.
The 2023 Petit Bocq is deep garnet-purple in color. A quiet, restrained nose of wet rocks, dried herbs, and black plums leads to a core of blackcurrants and rusty nails. The medium-bodied palate has a firm, rugged chewiness to the texture that takes over the delicate flavors, finishing hard and chewy.
This is supple and fluid with mellow red and blue fruit on the medium-bodied palate. Lightly chewy finish, yet it’s soft at the core with medium length.
