Tasting notes
The 2023 Château Moulin Riche checks in as 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 18% Petit Verdot. It has a terrific nose of savory red (and hints of blue) fruit, savory herbs, tobacco, and floral nuances. This carries to a medium-bodied Saint-Julien with a supple, layered mouthfeel, fine tannins, and beautiful overall balance. It's another beautiful, elegant Médoc with tons to love.

Cherries, licorice, plums, and blackberries are on display in the floral-oriented nose. The wine is medium-bodied, soft, fresh, fruity, lively, and round. The finish delivers a nice polish to the end notes. You can enjoy this on release, and for at least a decade, or more after that. The wine is a blend of 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 18% Petit Verdot.
The 2023 Moulin Riche is deep garnet-purple in color. It rolls out with ready-to-go notes of stewed black and red plums, mulberries, and raspberries plus hints of dried sage and crushed rocks. The medium-bodied palate is soft textured, with just enough black and red berry flavors and a crisp backbone, finishing on a lingering dried herbs note. The blend is 49% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, and 18% Petit Verdot, with pH 3.70 and TPI 69.
Pretty density and richness this year, with blackberry, blueberry and dark-chocolate aromas. Medium-bodied with a solid core of fruit, creamy tannins and a long, caressing finish. Fresh. Nicely framed by the tannins. A blend of 49% cabernet sauvignon, 33% merlot and 18% petit verdot.
