Smoky red fruits flowers, tobacco, and cherries with hints licorice fill the nose. On the palate, the wine is fresh, fruity, and clean, with more focus than in previous vintages due to a reduction in the amount of oak used in the aging process. 60% Merlot, with 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.
A blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, Les Grands Chenes 2023 has a deep garnet-purple color. It opens with notes of cedar and dried herbs, giving way to an undercurrent of fresh red and black plums and raspberry leaves. Medium-bodied, the palate is light on its feet, with slightly chewy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing with a savory lift.
Medium body, creamy and polished tannins and a juicy finish to the blackcurrant fruit.
