The 2023 La Pointe is elegant, refined and polished, all of which make it a fine choice for drinking now and over the next 15-20 years. Silky tannins wrap around a core of red/purplish fruit, lavender, spice, rose petal, mocha and mint. This mid-weight Pomerol is quite the charmer.

The 2023 La Pointe was afforded an hour to open in the glass. It impressed out of barrel. Now in bottle, it is blessed with a pretty bouquet, disarmingly pure blackberry and blueberry fruit laced with subtle iodine scents. The palate is marked by fine tannins and a very well-judged thread of acidity that lends it sorbet-like freshness toward the finish. There is a little more weight and density on the finish than before. All in all, a Pomerol that should easily give drinkers 20 years of enjoyment.

Rich plums, berries, hazelnuts, fine spices and some milk chocolate on the nose. Juicy and fine-grained on the palate, with a medium body, creamy tannins and a very long finish. 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc. Well balanced and already drinkable, but better in two more years.

Sweet red berries with chocolate are what you initially notice in the perfume. On the palate, the medium-bodied wine is bright, crisp, elegant, and juicy, with lift, energy, and most importantly, a refreshing touches of citrus and dark chocolate in the backend of the finish.
