Tasting notes
The 2023 Haut-Marbuzet has a lively, fresh and vibrant bouquet that springs from the glass. Well-defined with blackberry, cedar and wild strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with vivacious red cherry and strawberry notes, quite smooth in texture with veins of blue fruit surfacing toward the finish. Good potential and a quite lovely Saint-Estèphe.

Ripe but tense, with blackberries, fine sweet spices, minerals, graphite and some red fruit. Medium- to full-bodied, with tight, taut tannins and a long, rather elastic finish. It goes on and on. A blend of 50% merlot, 45% cabernet sauvignon, 3% cabernet franc and 2% petit verdot. Drink or hold.
Supple, fresh, and juicy, the wine is vibrant, fruity, soft, creamy, and loaded with sweet, ripe, black cherries, pepper, chocolate, and herbs. There is good length, and energy, with blackberries, espresso, dark chocolate, spice, and currants in the finish.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2023 Haut-Marbuzet reveals fragrant notions of lavender, fallen leaves, and rosebud tea before opening to a core of juicy strawberries and black raspberries. The light to medium-bodied palate is plush and fragrant, with just enough freshness and a savory finish. The blend is 50% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot.
