Tasting notes
The 2023 Le Retout Blanc zips out of the glass with zesty notes of yuzu and lime peel giving way to a core of Bosc pears and white peaches with a touch of wild thyme. The medium-bodied palate is racy and intense, with chalky accents to the citrusy layers, finishing with great persistence. The blend is 45% Gros Manseng, 40% Sauvignon Gris, and 15% Savagnin.

The 2023 Château du Retout Blanc has a pretty, peachy nose with touches of grapefruit and lemon verbena, the oak here nicely integrated. The palate is well balanced with a crisp line of acidity, white peach and kaki fruit on the mid-palate and a fresh, satisfying finish. Enjoy it over the next three or four years.
With a yield of 53hl/ha, this wine has plenty of punch: bursting with white stone fruit and citrus, it is fun to drink and balance - between the 13.6% alcohol and the low 3.11pH, it has lively acidity and the nine months élevage will add some needed breadth.
