Tasting notes
This is so fresh and clean. Lime zest, crushed stone, kiwi and pink grapefruit mingle together in this vibrant, light-bodied white, with a refreshingly modest 12.5% alcohol. It’s very tart and zesty on the palate, with a crisp finish driven by freshly cut green herbs and delicate lemon blossom. Blend: 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Semillon

A brilliant, impeccably made Pessac, the 2023 Château De Fieuzal Blanc is based on 60% Sauvignon and 40% Semillon and offers beautiful notes of ripe citrus, lime, crushed stone, and minty flowers. Medium-bodied, fresh, focused, and elegant on the palate, it has integrated acidity and a great finish. This is one classic white that does everything right! It will keep for 15 years in cold cellars. Drink 2026-2041.
The 2023 de Fieuzal Blanc is a super-classic dry white. Apricot, mint, sage, lemon oil and white flowers are very nicely delineated. The Blanc shows the riper side of the year to great effect, adding pretty layers to the mid-palate and an orchard fruit character that is quite appealing. Its balance is exquisite.
The 2023 Château de Fieuzal Blanc has a cohesive and well-defined bouquet, scents of lemon thyme infusing the malic fruit, quite minimalist in style … and that works. The palate is very well balanced with ample concentration. I might have dialed up the tension on the finish, but there is real intensity and drive, plus a delightful spiciness on the aftertaste.
