Tasting notes
One of the more dramatic wines in the range, the 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Gruenchers bursts with notes of rose petals, raspberries, peonies, potpourri and spices. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, with melting tannins and lively acids, it concludes with a long, saline finish.

The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruenchers 1er Cru has a backward, tertiary nose of tobacco and light morel aromas, but they take some coaxing. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and good density and focus, yet I feel it is missing the complexity and nuance of the Sentiers of Beaux-Bruns, for example. Hopefully it will offer more once in bottle.
