Quite pongy: animal, meat and dung. Red cherry fruit backing up the palate, and nice mineral tones with bitter cherry finish. (RH)

Very pale. Sweet and lively and mushroomy. Slightly lolly. Dry but persistent finish. (JR)
Medium red. Spicy cherry, smoke and flint on the nose. Juicy, spicy and tightly wound, with penetrating flavors of red fruits, minerals and Asian spices. Suave, scented wine with lovely floral, spicy persistence. Fresh, young and in need of a couple years of patience. (Unfortunately, my sample of the Mays Canyon pinot was corked.)
