Tasting notes
Aromas of fresh peach, green apple, lime and honey. Supple but a bit subdued, with apple and floral flavors nicely framed by firm minerality on the back. Juicy but still tightly wound, with lovely floral freshness. There was a good bit of botrytis here in 2006, said Lemon, adding that he picked the good fruit and left the rotten grapes behind. There was little or no rain after the middle of April, Lemon noted, but periods of fog in late July, early August and early September triggered the worst outbreak of botrytis in some areas of the Sonoma Coast since 1989.
