Good medium red. Perfumed aromas of redcurrant, coffee, licorice, earth and flowers. Plush, supple and broad but also boasts excellent inner-palate tension. The flavors of redcurrant, raspberry and smoke show a distinct animal quality. Very long on the aftertaste. This comes across as richer and more pliant from bottle than it did from barrel a year ago.

Good dark red. High-pitched aromas of violet and pepper. Tight and closed in the mouth, with rather unyielding flavors of minerals, licorice and mint. Not quite dry but youthfully tough, and hard to taste today.
