Tasting notes
Juicy red berries, blackberries, and rose petal notes all emerge from the 2022 Cornas, a medium-bodied, balanced Cornas that has fine tannins and beautiful length. It's an elegant, classic Cornas to drink over the coming 10-15 years. Drink: 2025-2040.

The 2022 Cornas commences with cedar, black cherry, pencil shaving and fleshy subtleties of moderate intensity. Medium-bodied and refreshing, the 2022 is marked by the oak on the palate, leaving behind a cedary aftertaste. Give it two more years in bottle to mellow.
100% destemmed. Cold pre-fermentation maceration followed by alcoholic fermentation at 35 °C and post-fermentation maceration at 30 °C. Transferred to barrels before the start of malo. Aged for 18 months in fine-grained oak barrels (Alliers and Nevers; 50% new). Cask sample. Tasted blind. A distinct herbal and peppery note, black olive and spice. Floral notes on the palate and soft, plush tannins with relatively low acidity. Appealing and rounded and should drink well relatively young. Attractive and approachable. (AC)
