The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatières 1er Cru, picked on 27 September, has taut and light petrichor notes. The palate is well balanced with fine depth, citrus peel and orange rind, gradually building towards a precise but not sustained finish. Afford this a couple of years in bottle.
The 2021 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Folatières offers up aromas of sweet orchard fruit, hazelnuts, white flowers and beeswax. Medium-bodied, satiny and layered, with chalky structure and a delicately honeyed finish, seven barrels were produced.
