Tasting notes
The 2021 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru has a simple nose with redcurrant and blueberry fruit and a light marine influence in the background, though it is not the most complex. The palate is medium-bodied with chalky tannins. I appreciate the fluidity of this wine, its poise and depth towards the finish and the brightness throughout. An accomplished 2021 that will give a lot of pleasure. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

1.8 ha (4.4 acres). Mid cherry. Much more rounded and softer-fleshed than the Porrets St-Georges. The structure and tannins are well integrated. Earlier drinking for sure. (MH)
Dark brownish crimson. Very sweet palate entry – almost seductive! – until the Gouges tannin and acidity cut in. But it should come right in the end. (JR)
