Tasted blind. Paler than most. Vigorous and sweet. A bit stringy on the palate though with some greenness. (JR)

This is an easygoing St.-Emilion with notes of garrigue, earth, spice, black cherries, and blackcurrants. Medium-bodied, soft, round and well-made, it is not one of the superstars of the vintage, but it is certainly a very competent effort. Drink it over the next 8-12 years.

89% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep bright cherry red. Lifted, pure cherry fruit on the nose. Lively, rounded and making an attractive but relatively simple whole with moderate length. Freshness emerges on the finish. (JH)
