A spicier and slightly more floral-suffused nose is comprised mostly by notes of both red and black currant. The rich and more voluminous if less mineral-driven big-bodied flavors flash evident power on the firm, youthfully austere and decidedly compact finale that makes clear that this is very much built-to-age. Patience advised! Drink 2034+
A rich deep purple with a riveting bouquet that for the moment performs well ahead of the more reductive Clos de la Roche. This is sublime. Such an explosion of fruit, ripe indeed, juicy plums and rich red berry fruit, but balanced, with a lively acidity. Everything in perfect harmony. A superbly succulent finish with savoury undertones as befits the appellation.
About the producer

Since 2017, Pierre Millemann – a leading wine consultant – along with his wife, and now daughter Charlotte, has been working as a micro-négoce, producing tiny volumes of Premier and Grand Cru Burgundy, both white and red. The wines have rapidly become some of the region’s most sought-after.
