Score 91-93/100 · Drink 2027-2042, Neal Martin, Nov 2024

The 2023 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has the classiest bouquet of the six wines tasted from the appellation chez Jadot, with more mineralité as you would expect. There's just a touch of reduction here. The palate is well defined with more tension than the Genevrières or Charmes. This is not the most complex Perrières but it has the most persistency on the finish. Drink over the next 18 to 20 years.

The 2022 Meursault 1er Cru Les Perrières (Domaine Louis Jadot) unites charm and tension, mingling aromas of pear and orange zest with nuances of white flowers, mint and vanilla pod in an inviting bouquet that's followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive palate.

The 2022 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru pales against the Charmes, lacking the same sense of terroir expression. It’s quite creamy, missing the mineralité that this vineyard can provide. The palate is medium-bodied with a waxy-textured opening. There’s good substance and much more complexity than the aromatics, a touch of white chocolate and almond enhancing the finish. The aromatics just need to up their game.
