Tasting notes
Lightish cherry red. Fragrant but not overly sweet red fruit, lightly peppery. More than a hint of Chambolle (pretty, floral) or Morey-St-Denis (spicy/floral). A suggestion of stems though I don’t know if they include any whole bunch, perhaps just early harvest. Succulent, juicy and with extremely fine, almost chalky, tannins. Utterly fresh and really well balanced with the fresh fruit. Light-bodied even with 13.5% alcohol. Although the tannins are fine, they build to become a little more chewy on the finish, making this a very moreish young wine. Light but persistent and complete. I could drink this already but I think it will be better with a bit longer in bottle. (JH)

Aromas of plums, cherries, dark berries and cassis introduce the 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, a medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping wine with more substance and concentration than the domaine's regular Gevrey.
