Tasting notes
This Grand Cru offers sweet and savoury depths. Black cherry mingles with bright, vivid red berries – raspberry and redcurrant. An earthy richness and sweet spice adds complexity, while there’s a hard, metallic note that spears the palate, with crunchy fruit playing around it. The mineral, saline note drives onto the finish, making it moreish.

An exceptionally pretty, even perfumed, nose wafts from the glass while revealing notes of plum, red currant and a hint of exotic tea. The plump, round and delicious larger-bodied flavors are almost easy-going on the mid-palate yet the balanced and lingering finish tighten up sufficiently to strongly suggest that at least a decade will be necessary to resolve the supporting structure. Which, in its fashion, is just as well as this could use more depth anyway.
