Made from a revived vineyard that was basically left for dead, the 2022 Never Been Asked To Dance offers seductive aromas of waxy melon, fresh yellow apples and dusty peaches with notions of lemon pastry cream. Medium to full-bodied, this cerebral wine is complex, with a lively mouthfeel giving way to a fresh mineral tension and succulent acidity. Flavors of dusty citrus drive the finish of this gorgeous Chenin Blanc that spontaneously fermented in barrel. Just under 3,000 bottles were made. Pick up a bottle and ask it to dance!

100% Chenin Blanc. 10 months in 600-litre barrels. NB Duncan Savage just calls it ‘the Chenin’. Cool and refreshing on the nose. Charming, pure expression of Cape Chenin with notes of acacia honey and greengages. (JR)
