The 2015 Chablis Terroir de Decouverte, which comes from the village sector of the lieu-dit, has an attractive, straight-down-the-line, apple blossom and granite scented bouquet. The palate is supple on the entry with touches of dried honey and quince; the wine quite harmonious in the mouth with a waxy-texture finish that lingers nicely.

(from the village lieu-dit Vaulorent, not the premier cru portion of this slope; this cool, north-facing hillside featuring limestone-rich soil was the last to be picked in 2015, on September 15): Pale, bright yellow. Gingery spices and a whiff of oyster shell on the nose. Supple, sweet stone fruit and spice flavors are leavened by lime and fresh herbs. Bigger, thicker and longer than the Terroir de Chichée, built for service at the dinner table--or, as Piuze puts it, "a sitting-down wine."
