Score 92/100 · Drink 2017-2027, Jeb Dunnuck, Dec 2017

The 2011 Côte Rôtie la Barbarine comes younger vines and multiple parcels throughout the appellation. It shows the charm and accessibility of the vintage and has a terrific perfume of black raspberries and spice, with subtle floral nuances developing with time in the glass. Beautifully balanced, with ripe tannin and medium-bodied richness, it has an elegant, seamless style and is going to continue drinking nicely for another decade.
