Tasting notes
The 2018 Barolo Cannubi is bright and effusive, as wines from this site tend do be. Crushed flowers, spice, new leather and macerated cherry are some of the notes that soar from the glass. The Cannubi offers fine depth and tons of site character, both of which were hard to achieve in 2018.

This delicate Nebbiolo opens to wild berry, rose, pressed violet, earth and powered licorice. The 2018 Barolo Cannubi takes a classic approach and underlines the elegant character of this most celebrated MGA site in the village of Barolo. The wine feels light and weightless when it first hits the palate, but don't be deceived. It offers ample power and length once you take it all in.
Barolo. Just mid ruby. Red fruit with minerally, spicy hints and a complex old-leather note and nutmeg. Elegant, and at the same time showing a concentrated core of fruit and chewy tannins on the palate. Long, juicy and tactile on the finish. Truly pretty. (WS)
The 2018 Barolo Cannubi is an attractive wine. Racy, pliant and layered, the 2018 offers up the telltale Cannubi signatures of sweet red berry fruit, cedar, spice, kirsch, tobacco, mint and blood orange. There's lovely balance and harmony to this effusive Barolo from the Rinaldi family.
